Information We Collect From Shopify
When a merchant installs or uses Easy Specs, we may collect or process store and account information from Shopify, including shop domain, shop name, shop owner and contact information, locale, country, timezone, Shopify plan details, app access scopes, access tokens, subscription or billing state, and install or uninstall status.
To provide product specification charts, we may collect or process product, variant, collection, tag, vendor, metafield, theme, app embed, script tag, and storefront configuration data that the merchant chooses to use with Easy Specs.
Information Merchants Provide
Merchants may create chart names, row labels, manual values, display rules, styling choices, placement settings, support messages, and other content inside the app. We also receive information merchants provide during support, billing, onboarding, or account-management interactions.
Storefront And Buyer Data
Easy Specs is designed to display merchant-configured product specification charts. It is not designed to collect buyer account, order, payment, or checkout data. Storefront asset requests and app rendering may create technical logs such as IP address, user agent, page URL, timestamps, and error details through hosting, CDN, analytics, security, or error-monitoring providers.
How We Use Information
We use app information to install and authenticate the app, provide the chart builder, publish and render charts, sync merchant settings, support theme app extension placement, manage billing and subscriptions, troubleshoot issues, measure reliability and performance, secure the service, communicate with merchants, and comply with Shopify, legal, and accounting obligations.
Sharing And Subprocessors
We share information with service providers that help operate Easy Specs, such as Shopify, hosting and database providers, CDN providers, error-monitoring providers, analytics providers, email and support providers, payment or billing services, and security tooling. These providers may include Shopify, DigitalOcean, Fastly, Sentry, and email or support systems used for merchant communications. We do not sell merchant or buyer personal information.
Retention, Uninstall, And Deletion
We retain app information while the app is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support, billing, security, recovery, accounting, legal, or audit needs. When a merchant uninstalls Easy Specs, we mark the account as canceled and stop providing active app services. We process Shopify privacy and redaction webhooks, including shop redaction requests, according to Shopify requirements and applicable law.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect app information. No internet service can be guaranteed fully secure, but we work to limit access to people and providers who need it to operate, support, or secure Easy Specs.
Merchant Rights And Requests
Merchants may contact us to ask about app information associated with their store, request correction or deletion where available, or ask questions about data handling. Some requests may need to be handled through Shopify or may be limited by legal, billing, security, or operational requirements.
